Achieving Cultural Awareness in Health Care conference aims to reduce health disparities by educating Siouxland students and professionals about the importance of providing evidence-based care to individuals, groups, and populations who come from culturally diverse backgrounds. The conference will focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in health care.

Speakers from the Iowa Department of Public Health and Lutheran Services in Iowa will discuss the pathway for refugees who come to our communities, the health screening process, and the unique medical and mental health needs of refugees, with specific emphasis on how local providers can meet the needs of refugees who come to our communities.
Parking Instructions: When arriving on campus you will want to use the southern entrance near the baseball field and navigate to the St. Francis Center which will be the first building at the top of the hill. Please park in the first available spaces at the top of the hill or parking lot L behind the St. Francis Center.
