Course Curriculum:
During this interactive virtual session, participants will learn how leaders use different motivational tactics to obtain the results they want from their employees. Topics such as performance management, feedback and monetary rewards will be discussed. Participants will understand the power of providing feedback and its impact on performance. This session will review what works and why regarding employee motivation and performance.

Learning Objectives:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the power of employee feedback and motivation in the health care setting.
• Discuss how motivation and performance management models relate to on-the-job experience in health care.
• Explain the significant models of motivation.

Speaker:

Mike Freel, Ph.D., has over 20 years of experience developing leaders. Dr. Freel has worked with information technology security groups, hospitals, business processing firms, and other organizations to design leadership and development initiatives that target improved performance at individual and organizational levels. His award-winning programs integrate organization-based strategy with learning outcomes. As the program director for the Master of Health Care Administration program at Bellevue University, Dr. Freel has administrative and faculty responsibilities at the graduate level. He has had several clinical and academic health care roles, including adjunct instruction at the Creighton University School of Law.
