In this 1-hour webinar, participants will learn how healthcare staff can partner with parents to better understand the neurodivergent patient's capacity to cope with the healthcare experience. We will review strategies to adapt each healthcare encounter to a patient's unique stressors, sensory differences and
communication needs, as well as potential benefits of implementing care plans in the ambulatory care setting, including safety considerations, healthcare outcomes, and parent satisfaction.

Presented by Dr. Patricia Sullivan, the coordinator of the PATCH Program at Children's Nebraska, a system-wide initiative to improve the healthcare experience of children with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

This presentation will be held virtually via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to all registrants prior to the session. This training is free to attend, and one CME will be issued upon completion
