Data protection and data recovery for hospitals is critical in preparing for worst-case scenarios and ensuring your hospital can provide continuity of care in the face of adversity.

When it comes to cyberattacks, it's not a question of "if" but "when." Therefore, it's crucial to be prepared. In this webinar, moderated by John Riggi, the AHA’s national advisor for cybersecurity and risk, leaders in cyber defense and managed security will share how to protect your hospital with the proper data backup and recovery and payment and revenue services needed for protection.

Health care organizations deal with an immense volume of electronic protected health information (ePHI) across many health care applications, medical devices, and payment and collaboration systems. The HIPAA Security Rule (164.308) requires institutions to back up and recover 100% of the ePHI. Data Protection as a Service is important to provide health care institutions with secure backup and recovery of ePHI for any system, application and computing environment. Health care organizations should focus on managed services that also provide for deployment, prioritization, recovery testing, and ongoing operational surveillance and reporting. This can help improve health care services to maintain resilient operations, defend against ransomware and comply with the HIPAA Security Rule.

In addition, health care organizations have a high priority to defend against cyberattacks that can impact and disrupt critical payment systems and prevent fraudulent payment schemes. We'll share the importance of compliance domain certifications and experience in HIPAA, HiTrust, ISO, NIST, PCI, cybersecurity managed services, and fraud investigation and prevention services to minimize the cyber risk to payment systems, investigate potential cyber and payment system compromises, and provide guidance on strengthening payment systems' cybersecurity and fraud capabilities.
