Virtual Workplace Violence Summit (CHA 5.14.24)

Addressing violence against health care workers is a challenge for nearly every hospital in the country. To explore solutions to this complex issue, Colorado Hospital Association (CHA) is hosting the 2024 CHA Workplace Violence Virtual Summit. Participants will hear from a range of subject matter experts on practical and effective approaches to mitigating violence in hospitals. The virtual event will feature:

• A keynote address from Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, chief executive officer of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and chief nursing officer, senior vice president of workforce for the AHA.
• Innovation Chats, which will explore a range of programs from around Colorado and the key to their success.
• A workplace violence panel discussion aimed at providing insight into how individual facilities are responding to the needs of their patients, staff, and community.

The summit will be recorded, and the recording will be available to all paid registrants following the summit.

Who Should Attend:
All hospital personnel, including but not limited to nurses, doctors, paramedics, administrative staff, security personnel, emergency management/preparedness staff, and support staff, who may encounter workplace violence situations in their daily work as well as professionals who wish to develop workplace violence reduction programs.
This program is also geared towards health care community members, including but not limited to local public health departments, emergency managers, EMS agencies, post-acute facilities, behavioral health professionals, and other medical facilities such as surgical centers, mortuaries, and blood banks.
