This is the Primary Infection Prevention One-Day Course: Prevention for All Health Care Settings. By registering for this you are attending only day one of a two-day course.

We welcome all nurses and any other healthcare providers interested in learning more about the core components of infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.

The Nebraska Infection Control Network (NICN) Primary Infection Prevention course offers a combination of lectures, discussions, and educational activities on preventing and controlling infections in various healthcare settings. This first day only event will focus on infection and prevention in all healthcare settings.

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:
Attendance at the entire activity
Completion/submission of evaluation form

Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development awards educational contact hours to the disciplines listed below. Each professional is accountable to understand their accrediting/licensing body's standards and requirements. The definitive source of information on continuing education requirements is your state or national regulatory board.

Nurses: 7.75 contact hours awarded. Midwest Multistate Division Provider Approval #NE1025-1. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development is approved with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Education Credit: 7.75 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
