Approximately one in four children in the United States will experience a traumatic event before age 16. Research has shown that trauma is a risk factor for nearly all mental disorders and has been linked to long-term physical health outcomes. Understanding how children can be impacted by traumatic experiences and implementing a trauma informed approach in the primary care setting is vital to the success of your patients.
Join Children's Nebraska COPE for an informational session offering an overview of trauma informed care, presented by Paige Tuttle, LICSW, LISW, COPE Program Manager at Children's Nebraska. This presentation will cover information related to trauma symptoms, trauma informed care, and tips to implement trauma informed care in the primary care setting.
This presentation will be held virtually via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to all registrants prior to the session. This training is free to attend and one CME will be issued upon completion.
