Identify two resources to aid in improving competency to provide services to rural LGBTQ+ youth.

Michael Steube is a licensed professional counselor and licensed mental health practitioner with Western Nebraska Behavioral Health. He is also a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education graduate program at Oregon State University. He has traveled and worked in rural towns throughout the panhandle of Nebraska, helping to address a wide range of client needs. He has helped connect rural areas with expanded care through coordination with an outreach genetics clinic and an outreach pediatric psychiatry clinic. His clinical work has primarily focused on providing rural integrated care, with a special interest in working with clients in the LGBTQIA+ community.
