Anti-Trafficking Training Conference

Do you have a role to play in identifying victims of human trafficking? The clear answer is yes―whether you work in healthcare, law enforcement, social services or other sectors, this conference will equip you to:

● Provide trauma-informed and culturally relevant care to individuals experiencing trafficking and related trauma as healthcare, law enforcement and social service professionals
● Foster cross-sector collaboration and identification of available services for victims of human trafficking
● Identify scalable interventions to reduce the demand side of trafficking
● Identify risks and protective factors for human trafficking and evidence-based interventions

An impressive slate of speakers includes:

• Keynote speaker, Andrew Aleman, Deputy Director of People Power and National Partnerships at Black and Pink, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Consultant, Adjunct Instructor at Grace Abbott School of Social Work at UNO. Andrew will be presenting on "Harm Reduction in Working with the LGBTQ+ population."
• Lieutenant Brent Bockstadter, Investigations Division Special Operations with the Nebraska State Patrol will be sharing information on the Nebraska Trafficking Hotline
• Leontyne Evans, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Motivational Speaker and Facilitator. Leontyne will present, "After the Storm- the mental health effects of trafficking and sexual abuse."
