UNMC Wound Treatment Associate Summer Session

This evidence based self-paced online 12 week program covers 14 wound management and prevention topics. The course is open to RNs, LPNs, PTs and a number of other health care professionals. Nursing participants will receive 32.25 nursing contact hours and will also be prepared to take the WTA-C certification exam (not required). PTs & PTAs will receive 21.0 CCUs.

*Sim Days: Thursday 10/27/2022 and Friday 11/4/2022.

One Mandatory Virtual Simulation Day involving hands-on training will be held for each session. Students are given a choice of a date/time (see above*) at the time of registration on a first come, first served basis. Each Virtual Sim day includes a two-hour course exam preparation review via ZOOM as well as participation in a scheduled two hour ZOOM Virtual Competency hands-on skills testing session with a CWOCN expert.
