UNMC COPH ECHO CAH:  Anger Unstoppable

Tuesday, March 15, 2022
12:00 pm1:00 pm

The UNMC College of Public Health is holding an ECHO session for Critical Access Hospitals (and similar facilities) on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at noon.

This session is intended for anyone who would like to learn more about the recognized skills that increase effectiveness in
managing anger to achieve positive outcomes. Healthcare professionals have always been the “tip of the spear”
encountering people in crisis who are unable to effectively manage their anger, which can escalate others who are trying
to help them. With an overall increase in uncertainty in society, politics, economics, recently the specter of war as well as
the ongoing effects of Covid 19, the level of crisis healthcare professionals are exposed to is not likely to abate any time
soon. Mr. Zoucha will give an overview of the characteristics of anger and discuss the important skills and strategies that
lessen the risks of unhealthy anger and aggression.
